| Hello, CinemaBlend Daily readers! |
|
When it comes to the movies and shows we consider the most quotable, it isn't always just about the quotes. Oh, that's a big part of it, to be sure, but sometimes, the quoting sort of takes on a life of its own. Whether it's an inside joke between you and a friend, or just part of life within the fandom, to love a movie or a show dearly is often to quote it whenever possible. That brings us to this week's CinemaBlend staff topic. I reached out to my coworkers to ask them to name their favorite movie or TV show to quote, and the responses I got were a lot of fun. "Treat yo self!" - Parks and Recreation
- "I quote Parks and Recreation all the time. Along with it being my favorite comedy, a lot of the lines fit right in with daily life, and I find myself bringing up things like 'Ann's my doctor,' and 'This is America, I want it now,' and singing 'don't be suspicious' all the time." -- Riley Utley
"A person's face says a lot about how they look." - Barb and Star go to Vista Del Mar
- "Barb and Star go to Vista Del Mar. There's a ridiculous joke or bit every minute, and it's become an essential part of multiple friend groups." -- Corey Chichizola
"I am Beyonce, always." - The Office
- "I don't even know why I picked that Michael Scott quote to represent my love for quoting The Office. The truth is, at this point in my obsession with the series, the more out-of-context the quote is to any given situation, the funnier I think it is. I don't know if that makes any sense, but 'that's as clear as I can make it.'" -- Kelly West
"I think we're going iiiiin!" - Twister
- "Twister is such a rewatchable movie with so many quotable lines, but my daughter and I love to reference the part where Bill and Jo are about to drive through the house that the tornado blew into the road. Seriously, we do this at every opportunity." -- Heidi Venable
"If you're a devil, how come you're not wearing Prada?" - The Good Place
- "I quote this all the time. Some of the best one-liners in a TV show to date. It is infinitely quotable." -- Rachel Rosenfeld
"Yes, yes, in the face!" - Coming To America
- "I really love quoting Coming to America, because there are so many great lines in it. Honestly, it's hard to pick just one or two pieces of dialogue that crack me up." -- Erik Swann
Quoting a beloved or movie or TV show is one of the most fun ways to celebrate it when we're not actually watching it. With that in mind, are any of our favorites also your favorite? Vote in the poll to let us know! As always, CinemaBlend Daily readers, thank you for reading. I appreciate you! -- Kelly West 🏢
